Alexander The Great - The Fearless King & Military Hero

[coin size:  2.9cm/1.14"]

Alexander the Great (356–323 BCE) was a fearless Macedonian king and military genius who conquered vast territories from Greece to Egypt and several other countries. The original silver tetradrachm coins were a powerful symbol of legitimacy and were issued during and after Alexander's reign, with many of his successors copying the design. These coins, known as "Alexanders," were produced and remained in circulation for about 200 years after Alexander's death in 323 BCE. The coins were used as a political tool to spread propaganda and symbolize Alexander's authority and divine right to rule.
