Ancient Greek silver coin, tetradrachm from Syracuse, Sicily, minted under the reign of Agathokles, who was a tyrant and later king of Sicily. 
The inscription on the coin reads "ΑΓΑΘΟΚΛΕΙΟΣ" (Agathokleios), which is a reference to Agathokles. 
The Tetradrachm was a large silver coin that was equivalent to four drachmae and became a standard currency in the ancient world. 


Persephone - The Greek goddess of the spring and the Underworld, daughter of Zeus, King of the Gods, and Demeter, Goddess of agriculture. She spends part of the year in the Underworld, causing winter, and returns to Earth for the spring and summer. She is also associated with vegetation, particularly grain, as her mother was the goddess of agriculture. She became the queen of the Underworld after being abducted by Hades, god of the dead. Her power in the underworld: she is a formidable ruler and holds great power over the dead, sometimes intervening to help heroes in the Underworld.
