Shou Xing is the Chinese god of longevity, immortality, and prosperity, often depicted as a wise, elderly man with a high forehead and a long beard. He is associated with the star Canopus (the southern pole star) and is a part of the Fu Lu Shou trio of good fortune deities. Shou Xing is recognizable by his attributes: a crooked staff, a peach of immortality, and sometimes a calabash gourd containing the elixir of life.
