The obverse side of the coin depicts a bust of Agrippina the Elder, with the inscription "AGRIPPINA M F MAT C CAESARIS AVGVSTI".
The reverse side shows a carpentum, a covered two-wheeled carriage, drawn by two mules, with the inscription "SPQR MEMORIAE AGRIPPINA".
A coin was minted during the reign of her son, Caligula, from 37-41 AD, as a commemorative honor strike to his mother.
