Silver tetradrachm coin from the reign of Antigonus III Doson, (Ancient Greek: Ἀντίγονος Δώσων, 263–221 BC) who was king of Macedon from 229 to 221 BC.
The coin's obverse features a portrait of the sea god Poseidon, with his hair bound by a wreath of seaweed. The reverse side depicts a figure, often identified as Apollo, seated on the prow of a galley.
The inscription on the reverse reads "BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIΓONOY," translates to "of King Antigonus".
